About Key City Rotary

Key City Rotary is part of Rotary International, a worldwide network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who come together to create lasting change, across the globe and in our own communities.

Our club is geographically nestled in Central Maryland, and shares Rotary District 7620 leadership with over 60 clubs in Maryland and Washington, D.C.  Our district falls within Rotary Zone 33, which includes almost 1700 clubs from Pennsylvania to South Carolina.

For over 110 years, Rotarians have taken action on local and global challenges – from promoting literacy and peace to improving clean water access and public health.

What makes Key City Rotary “A Different Way to Rotary?”

Key City Rotary became the newest club in Frederick County, Maryland on July 1, 2022. It was an instant success, growing to over 100 members in the first year!

While most clubs expect members to attend the meetings every week, our club uses a unique meeting cadence of just twice-monthly meetings.

Our meeting location – The Arc at Market Street in Frederick – is a thoughtful selection that supports people with developmental disabilities with our fees for lunch and meeting space.

When you visit us for a program, the cowbells and pompoms on the table should tell you everything you need to know.

Key City Rotary has a fun and inviting culture, and our meetings are designed to be both enjoyable and inspirational. Visiting Rotarians from all over the world frequently remark about our big, welcoming “main character” energy.

We emphasize engaging with service events and plan fellowship opportunities that are often family-friendly. By actively widening participation to include family and friends, we build stronger bonds and model a servant’s heart.
