The Rotary Way

“One Profits Most Who Serves Best.”

Who We Are: A Global Network of Changemakers

Key City Rotary is part of Rotary International, a worldwide network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who come together to create lasting change—across the globe and in our own communities.

For over 110 years, Rotarians have taken action on local and global challenges—from promoting literacy and peace to improving clean water access and public health.

What We Believe: Service Above Self

Rotary members are united by a shared commitment to service. We believe that when people work together, with integrity and purpose, they can move communities—and the world—forward.

That’s why we take on big issues, build relationships, and stay committed until the work is done.

How We Make Decisions: The Four-Way Test

Rotary’s work is guided by The Four-Way Test—a set of ethical questions we apply to the things we think, say, and do. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians frequently recite it at club meetings:

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

What Unites Us: Our Guiding Principles

Rotary’s values are built on four guiding principles:

1

The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

2

High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

3

The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;

4

The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

Lead Where You Live

Rotary is more than weekly meetings or service hours—it’s a way of thinking and a way of being.
If you’re looking for purpose, connection, and impact, there’s a place for you in Rotary.
