On a beautiful Saturday morning in May, members of the Rotary Club of Frederick and Key City Rotary Club joined forces for a service project that brought both purpose and pride to our community. The two clubs gathered at Memorial Park, a cherished green space in the heart of Frederick, to roll up their sleeves and make a visible difference.
The day was filled with energy and teamwork. Volunteers cleared debris, planted fresh flowers, and spread new mulch throughout the park—restoring its natural beauty and creating a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. What might seem like simple tasks carried a deeper meaning: honoring a space that holds significance for our community and demonstrating the power of collective action.
Partnerships like these reflect the heart of Rotary. When we come together, we don’t just improve our surroundings—we strengthen the connections that make Frederick special. This project wasn’t just about landscaping; it was about building relationships, sharing stories, and creating a sense of shared responsibility for
the place we call home.
A special thank you goes to Ruppert Landscape for providing the tools and expert guidance that made the day run smoothly. Their support ensured that the park not only looked beautiful but was cared for with the attention it deserves.
Days like this remind us why service matters. With every flower planted and every handful of mulch laid, we honored our community and each other. And as the morning wrapped up, the smiles and laughter among volunteers said it all—this was a day well spent.
